Some projects remind us why we love what we do — and our time with Holy Family Catholic School in White Center, West Seattle, was exactly that.
This video wasn’t just another production; it was months of planning, coordination, and creativity coming together to capture the true essence of a bilingual Catholic education — faith, community, and joy in every frame.
From Planning to Production
Before stepping onto campus, we developed a complete script and storyboard, outlining every scene in detail. The schedule was planned by the hour to make the most of the school day — from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Every moment counted, especially since our goal was to film everything within regular class hours without disrupting the children’s routines.
The result? A perfectly balanced two-day shoot filled with learning, laughter, and collaboration between teachers, staff, and students.
The Magic of Working with Kids
Working with children can be challenging — keeping attention, timing smiles, and capturing authentic moments — but it’s also one of the most rewarding experiences in filmmaking. Their energy, spontaneity, and joy gave every shot a natural warmth that no script can truly plan.
One of our favorite moments was gathering the entire school in the courtyard to form the shape of the school’s shield. Coordinating dozens of kids and staff members was no small task — but when seen from above, the result was both beautiful and symbolic of the unity that defines Holy Family.
A Project Full of Heart
In the end, this project became more than a video. It was a story of community, purpose, and shared values — told through the lens of ByFrame, with care, detail, and intention.
Because that’s what we do best: turning moments into stories that inspire.
